Pineland Farms, New Gloucester, ME, August 4. The US Biathlon Association and NENSA (New England Nordic Ski Association) will host their first golf tournament on September 25 at the Falmouth Country Club in Falmouth, ME.
The 18-hole scramble starts at 11 AM and is geared towards players of all abilities. It will bring together supporters of both organizations for a full day of activities.

Max Cobb, US Biathlon Executive Director, commented on the new event, “We have planned this golf tournament as a celebration to benefit our athletes, who dream of Olympic glory. This will be a terrific opportunity for members and friends of the USBA and NENSA to enjoy each other’s company at an activity outside of our normal cold weather events. The beautiful Falmouth Country Club offers the perfect setting to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, while supporting biathlon and youth cross-country skiing.”

Scheduled activities include additional side competitions at several holes, along with the opportunity to learn more about both biathlon and cross-country skiing from US Biathlon coaches and athletes. Among those on hand will be Ray Bourque, a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, as well as several Olympians including Jeremy Teela (Anchorage, AK), Tim Burke (Paul Smiths, NY), and Lowell Bailey (Lake Placid, NY). The day will conclude with a festive dinner, auction, raffle and tournament prizes.
